Feeling Blue

Blue is my favorite color. It’s probably the favorite favorite color, come to think of it. Wouldn’t you imagine most people would give their favorite color as blue or some shade of blue (indigo, violet, teal, aqua, periwinkle, midnight, royal, sky, baby, Carolina, etc.)? I mean, if you haven’t noticed, blue gets around.

Did you know that blue is supposed to represent the qualities of trust and loyalty, and portend peace and serenity? According to Color Matters at https://www.colormatters.com/the-meanings-of-colors/blue, the brighter the blue, the greater the strength and cleanliness it connotes. And according to Color Psychology at https://www.empower-yourself-with-color-psychology.com/color-blue.html,

No wonder when these people needed a name for their new retail store, they went with Blue in the title - and for the same reasons too, according to https://finance.yahoo.com/news/bluemercury-founders-barry-beck-marla-130700926.html.

I’m mesmerized by the color blue, the way it’s perceived by my brain. It’s soothing, calming. There’s something deep-rooted about that - the color of clear skies, the color of deep waters…real sacré bleu. Heck, I even like blue cheese dressing.

I suppose that like Bob Dylan, I’m just tangled up in blue. (Here’s a little Bob for you: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YwSZvHqf9qM.)
